Fly fishing and photography are in Todd's blood. He pursues photographing fly fishing with the same passion and enthusiasm as he does catching and teaching fly fishing. Much of his fly fishing photography focuses on the Sun Valley Region where he lives and works. Running through his backyard is the Big Wood River a classic freestone stream with its source flowing from the Smoky and Boulder Mountains. Silver Creek, considered by many to be the premier Spring Creek in the United States, lies between the mountains to the north and the Snake River Plain to the south and is legendary for prolific mayfly hatches. Located in the high mountains east of Sun Valley lies the Big Lost drainage; this picturesque river flows past the Lost River Range, the tallest mountains in state before sinking into the porous volcanic rock south of Arco. The South Fork of the Boise and the South Fork of the Snake River both run through beautiful canyons where excellent fishing and photography abound. You can often find him on one of these home waters where Todd does much of his photography and guides fly fishing as well.
